July 15, 2020 is a new milestone for the development of biohydrocarbon fuel technology from palm oil. RU2 Dumai, PT Pertamina (Persero) succeeded in converting palm oil into biohydrocarbon diesel fuel with a 100% palm oil (RBDPO) feed, which produces D100 diesel fuel. The D100 diesel fuel product was socialized today in Dumai by Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang and Pertamina’s Managing Director.
Important note: This production process uses catalysts produced by domestic children, the result of research collaboration between the Chemical Reaction Engineering Laboratory and ITB Catalyst (CaRE ITB) and Pertamina. So, our goal is that our palm oil does not depend on the European market and other foreign markets to achieve. Just waiting for the good political will of the government and market participants to not have to fear anymore about European bullying to embargo Indonesian palm oil.
Again, Indonesian palm oil banned by Europe? No need to worry? Pak De said, “We use it ourselves!”
