The 2019 Safety Competition is an annual event organized by the UGM Chemical Engineering Student Family and has entered its seventh year in implementation. This event was held in order to cultivate and increase awareness of the importance of safety among chemical engineering students and the general public. The event with the theme “Culturizing Safety Awareness to Revive Safety Society” consists of several branches of competition namely Poster Competition, Essay Competition, and Paper Competition.
The ITB team succeeded in dominating the Paper Competition which had topics related to the analysis of dispersion, fire and explosion in carbon disulfide plants. A total of 5 ITB Chemical Engineering representative teams from a total of 8 teams successfully competed in the grand final round. The five teams are Barudak Bandung (Raissa Azzahra and Sharia), Salvatio (M. Wildan Hakim and Jonathan Ariel), Pesut Mahakam (Robby Anggoro and Bernadeta Adinda), Musashi (M. Mara Ikhsan and Jihan Camilia N), and Natus Vincere ( Jonatan Kevin Daniel and David Alvin Christopher). Natus Vincere won the first place, followed by Pesut Mahakam in the second position as well as being the best presentator.
