SOP for Qualification Seminar

  1. Students fill out the application form for the Qualification Examination seminar in Administration.
  2. Students submit a completed seminar application form along with a draft Qualification Examination report signed by the Supervisory Team to the Administration at least 2 (two) weeks before the seminar is held.
  3. The Administration prepares an invitation to the Qualification Examination seminar and delivers it to the Sub KPPs Members, Supervisory Team, Review Team, Lecturer in Charge of the Qualification Examination and Doctoral Study Program Students.

SOP for Research Proposal Seminar

  1. Students have been declared to have passed the Qualification Stage.
  2. Students fill out the Research Proposal seminar submission form at the Administration Office.
  3. Students submit a completed Proposal seminar application form along with a draft Proposal report that has been signed by the Supervisory Team to the Administration at least 2 (two) weeks before the seminar is held.
  4. The Administration prepares an invitation to the Proposal seminar and delivers it to the Sub KPPs Members, Supervisory Team, Review Team, Research Proposal Supervisor and Doctoral Study Program Students.

SOP for Implementing Progress Seminars 1 – 4

  1. Students have been declared to have passed the Qualification Stage and Proposal Stage.
  2. Students fill out the progress seminar application form at the Administration Office.
  3. Students submit a completed seminar application form along with a draft of the seminar progress report that has been signed by the Supervising Lecturer Team to the Administration at least 2 (two) weeks before the seminar is held.
  4. The Administration prepares an invitation to the implementation of the progress seminar and delivers it to the Sub KPPs Members, Supervisory Team, Examining Team, Coordinating Lecturer for the Progress Seminar and Doctoral Study Program Students.

Update on Progress Seminar Terms 1 – 4

About: Research Claims and Progress Seminar Terms (PdSK)

For all Doctoral Candidates*) of the FTI-ITB Chemical Engineering Study Program who wish to claim an international seminar activity as a substitute for one of the Research and Progress Seminar (PdSK) reports 1 to 3, the following are the provisions:

  1. International seminar activities can only be claimed once to replace Research and Progress Seminar (PdSK) reports 1 to 3.
  2. PdSK 1 or PdSK 2 or PdSK 3 report can be replaced with International Seminar presentation slides which include a certificate as presenter and a draft of the seminar proceedings.
  3. The PdSK report submitted is accompanied by a PdSK report cover and a statement letter.

    which was agreed by the chairman and all members of the supervisory board, that:

    1. Seminar materials claimed as PdSK 1 or 2 or 3 reports were never presented at the Qualification Exam, Proposal Seminar, and/or PdSK 1 and 2 (if there were already seminars).
    2. The PdSK report material represents one or more of the doctoral research objectives within a series of planned studies. The objectives associated with the claimed report are stated in the statement.
  4. Submissions for PdSK Seminars 1, 2, or 3 must still be made 10 working days in advance and the time interval between one progress seminar and the next progress seminar is at least 1 (one) month (listed in the P3D).
  5. The PdSK seminar was still conducted in front of the chairperson, 2 examiners, and all the supervisory team.

SOP for Filing for Closed Hearings

  1. The Supervising Lecturer Team submitted a letter along with a draft of the Dissertation to the Head of the Study Program so that it could be discussed at the FTI KPPS for review by the Review Team.
  2. Students complete the publication form on the SPs website and send proof of publication to the Administration.
  3. The Head of the Study Program sends a letter of application to the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of FTI to be reviewed by the Review Team.
  4. The Dissertation Draft was discussed by the FTI KPPs.
  5. After being approved by the FTI KPPs, a review will be carried out by the Review Team at least 2 (two) weeks after the decision.
  6. The results of the review by the Review Team are sent to the Head of the Study Program to be submitted to the Supervisory Team.
  7. Students make improvements based on the results of the review team's review.
  8. The revised dissertation draft is then sent back to the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of FTI for another meeting at the FTI KPPs.
  9. The Dissertation Draft that has been approved by the FTI KPPs can then hold a Closed Session at the specified time.

SOP for Submitting an Open Hearing

  1. The Head of the Study Program sends a report on the results of the Closed Session along with the Dissertation that has been revised and bound in hard cover along with a white paper to be discussed at the FTI KPPs.
  2. The dissertation and white paper that have been approved by the FTI KPPs are sent to the SPs for further discussion at the ITB KSPs.
  3. Dissertations that have been approved by KSPs ITB can hold an Open Session according to the specified time.
