ITB cares for Sumatra

December 4, 2025 – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), in collaboration with DIKTI and the ITB Alumni Association, continues to strengthen disaster response efforts through clean water technologies and cross-institutional partnerships. This initiative also involved contributions from Prof. I Gede Wenten and Dr. K. Khoiruddin, S.T., M.T. from the Chemical Engineering Program at ITB.

Their contribution was delivered through the preparation of 47 drinking water units, IGW Green Ultrafilter technology—an innovation developed by Prof. I Gede Wenten from the Chemical Engineering Program at ITB.

These collective efforts directly support SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation) by delivering technology-based clean water solutions, while simultaneously advancing SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among academic programs, alumni, humanitarian organizations, and government institutions. This initiative demonstrates how engineering innovation can serve as a catalyst for recovery, connection, and resilience in times of crisis.
