Bandung, February 19, 2025 — Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) conducted an official visit to PT PINDAD (Persero) to strengthen strategic cooperation in research and education. This visit marked a concrete step in building collaboration between higher education institutions and the national defense industry.

The ITB delegation was led by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yogi Wibisono Budhi, S.T., M.T., IPM, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Prof. Ir. Wahyu Srigutomo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.. Also present during this visit were the Heads of Postgraduate Study Programs within the FTI ITB environment, including the study programs of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Logistics, as well as Physics Engineering and Instrumentation & Control.

This visit was also attended by representatives of cooperation fields from various ITB faculties, namely FTI, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD), School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), and FMIPA, signifying a multidisciplinary commitment in supporting national innovation.

The ITB delegation was warmly welcomed by the Director of Technology and Development of PT PINDAD, Prima Kharisma I. Y., S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with the relevant leadership and staff.

The meeting discussed potential collaboration in research and education. Both ITB and PT PINDAD demonstrated strong enthusiasm for designing joint research agendas, student internship programs, and human resource capacity development.

With the same spirit of synergy and national vision, this visit is expected to be the starting point for collaboration between ITB and PT PINDAD to strengthen Indonesia's technological independence.
