Led by Prof. Dr. Sanggono Adisasmito and a multidisciplinary team from the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), and the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD), ITB constructed six Biogas Units—two at CV Christian JA poultry farm and four at the Turekisa Farm - Flores College of Agriculture (STIPER Flores Bajawa). Through anaerobic digestion, poultry waste is converted into biogas for household energy, while the remaining slurry is utilized as organic fertilizer.
In collaboration with the local government, livestock partners, and STIPER Flores Bajawa, ITB continues to promote appropriate technology that addresses community needs. This initiative represents ITB’s commitment to sustainable waste management, renewable energy development, and improving the welfare of local farming communities through the effective use of local resources
