On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Faculty of Industrial Technology of Institut Teknologi Bandung (FTI ITB) conducted a lecture session for the Interdisciplinary Engineering Project (Proyek Rekayasa Interdisiplin/PRI) in collaboration with PT Paragon Technology and Innovation (PTI). The activity was held simultaneously at the ITB Jatinangor Campus and the ITB Ganesha Campus. This collaboration provided students with an opportunity to explore real-world industrial challenges and develop solutions through a multidisciplinary approach.
The activity commenced with an opening address by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FTI ITB, Iwan Prasetiyo, Ph.D. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of communication skills, teamwork, and the integration of diverse fields of knowledge in addressing increasingly complex industrial challenges. Following the opening session, representatives from PT Paragon Technology and Innovation presented industry case studies as the industrial partner for this semester’s PRI course.
At the ITB Jatinangor Campus, the activity was attended by students from the Bioenergy and Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, and School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH) study programs. The PTI team serving as guest speakers consisted of Anita Fajrin, Technology Development Coordinator; Andrew Immanuel Ebenezer from R&D Packaging; and Salma Noor Mulya from Research & Development.

Meanwhile, the activity at the ITB Ganesha Campus was attended by students from the Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Industrial Engineering Cirebon Campus study programs. The case study presentations were delivered by Nur Huda Arif Indiarto, Personal Care and Male Grooming Lead; Anugerah Norma Pakarty, Materials Planning & Operations Lead; Rendy Sanusi from R&D Packaging; and Hira Listya Pinastika from Research & Development.

This semester, students will develop solutions around four main topics: Supply Chain Collaboration, Dynamic Demand-to-Production Decision System, Next-Gen Packaging for Beauty, and Unlocking Indonesian Natural Resources for Beauty & Wellness. These topics encompass challenges across the entire value chain, ranging from the utilization of Indonesia’s natural resources and the development of innovative products and packaging to supply chain management and adaptive production decision-making in response to changing demand.
Through this project, students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to complement one another in identifying user needs, understanding the interrelationships among system components, and designing solutions that are technically feasible, commercially viable, and sustainable. The collaboration between FTI ITB and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation is expected to strengthen the connection between higher education and real-world industrial needs, while equipping students with interdisciplinary teamwork experience to develop relevant and impactful innovations.
