𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍! 👋
A team from the Chemical Engineering Study Program that took on CATION (Case Analysis and Innovative Solutions), part of EXCESS 2026.

With their project "𝐄𝐅𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐩: 𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲," the team tackled the coal dependency of Indonesia's 2G bioethanol plants through four connected pillars: heat exchanger network integration, lignin residue combustion, glucose–xylose co-fermentation, and anaerobic digestion of stillage

Validated in Aspen Plus V15, the retrofit is projected to cut fossil CO₂ emissions and raise ethanol output by more than a third — without adding a single ton of feedstock. 🏭♻️

From waste → to energy.
From coal → to self-sufficiency.
That's how we close the loop! 🚀
