Bandung – Veronica Susilowati Praptowidodo She was born in Solo on June 6, 1940. In her personal life, she was known as a warm, friendly, and caring individual toward those around her. She was married to Aloysius Praptowidodo (a lecturer in Engineering Physics at FTI ITB) and was blessed with three children: Adrianus Aryo Seto, Sebastianus Aryo Seno, and Christianus Aryo Palguno. To her family, friends, and colleagues, she was not only a dedicated academic but also someone who brought warmth to every interaction.

Her academic career began in 1970 when she joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) as an educator. Throughout her tenure at ITB, she made significant contributions to the advancement of science and education, particularly in the field of polymer technology. She served as the Head of the Polymer Technology Laboratory and was subsequently appointed as a Professor of Polymer Technology in 2002. She also holds the distinction of being the first female professor of Chemical Engineering at ITB.

In his teaching activities, he instructs various courses—including Polymer Technology and Petroleum Processing Technology—that play a vital role in developing the competencies of Chemical Engineering students.

As an educator, he has also supervised the final projects of numerous students who are now active in various sectors—ranging from the chemical, petrochemical, oleochemical, and energy industries to the environmental field—both in Indonesia and abroad. Alumni remember him as a meticulous and attentive lecturer who always encouraged his students to grow.

Many of the students he mentored later remarked that they learned not only Chemical Engineering from him but also lessons on how to approach life. Diligence in work, honesty in scientific thought, and sincerity in treating others were values ​​he consistently exemplified. To his students, he was not merely an academic advisor but also a mentor for life.

In the campus environment, she will always be remembered as the beautiful and friendly Mrs. Susi, a teacher who not only left a scientific mark, but also warm memories in the lives of many people.
