Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Bagus Ngurah Makertihartha, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), participated as a panelist at the 2026 ASEAN Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Workshop, themed "Advancing SAF Implementation in the ASEAN Region,” held in Bali on 13–15 July 2026. During the panel session on “ASEAN Feedstock Diversification: Moving SAF Production Beyond UCO,” he shared insights on strengthening the upstream SAF value chain and exploring alternative feedstocks beyond used cooking oil (UCO) to support sustainable aviation fuel development across the ASEAN region.

His participation reflects ITB’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and international collaboration in sustainable energy, while contributing to the acceleration of SAF implementation and the decarbonization of the aviation sector in ASEAN.
