The Community Service Team from the Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, and Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy Program again visited the residents of Inerie village (Inerie District) and Aimere village (Aimere District), Ngada Regency, NTT, from 7 to 10 September 2023 with the LPPM-ITB Monitoring and Evaluation Team, LPPM-ITB Book Team, and FORTUGA ITB. The Community Service Team was represented by Prof. Dr. Lienda Aliwarga (Food Engineering Program Lecturer), Dr. Ir. I Dewa Gede Arsa Putrawan (Chemical Engineering Program Lecturer), Teuku Almas Rifa Abiyyu (Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy Program), and Javier Pujo Ardana (Food Engineering student). On this occasion, the Community Service Team reported on community service activities carried out in the two villages through an audience with the Regent of Ngada Regency (Mr. Andreas Paru, S.H., M.H.).
Villagers
Community service activities carried out include drying fruit, processing coconut into VCO, making ice blocks for cooling fish and making animal feed pellets from agricultural waste. The Community Service Team also accompanied LPPM-ITB in signing the minutes of handover of technology for Fruit Drying, Coconut Processing, Fish Cooling and Animal Feed Making. The handover ceremony was attended by the sub-district head, village head officials, figures and residents of the villages of Inerie and Aimere. The activity was welcomed enthusiastically by village residents. Products made by village residents as a result of applying technology introduced through training carried out during previous visits were also exhibited on this occasion. The activities carried out are in line with the tagline of Ngada Regency, namely TANTE NELA PARIS (menggerakkan perekonomian dalam membangun daerah Kabupaten Ngada melalui perTANian, peTErnakan, NELAyan, dan PARIwiSata).
